ValU is the leading Buy-Now Pay-Later lifestyle-enabling fintech platform in Egypt. It was established in 2017 and is currently a subsidiary of EFG Hermes Holding. valU HQ is currently hosted at EFG Hermes building, where valU people are spread across different locations in the building.
As valU is considered the fastest-growing BNPL service provider in the MENA region, the organization decided to move to its dedicated workplace in Zayed City.
Our challenge was to create valU headquarters in a way that reflects its young, dynamic spirit yet a rising star company in the market.

DESIGN CONCEPT
Based on our pre-design research, we recognized that our primary design challenge was to achieve a balance between offering employees a variety of settings to choose from and accommodating the significant variation in work activities among different departments, as well as the interdepartmental workflow across the organization.
Accordingly, we devised zoning and circulation strategy that combines Activity Based Workplace (ABW) environments and Neighborhood-based Choice Environment (NCE) approach.
THE INTERIOR DESIGN
The workplace follows a progression in a sensory quality journey. The main entrance, situated at one end of the space, initiates the progression from dynamic activities towards quieter activities at the opposite end. The workplace begins with zones designed for interactions and collaboration. it also has a meeting room, and a press-release area, enabling guests to be welcomed without disrupting ongoing staff activities.As the space advances, it accommodates routine activities in the work lounge, serving as a transition to the quiet area reserved for focused activities for each team at the furthest reaches of the workplace. At the end, there is a secondary entrance dedicated to the employees.
